Resort rules

Dear Customers,

we hope to have the opportunity to re-open our ski resort. However, the pandemic is not over, and, therefore, there will still be some restrictions and potential uncertainties. We will need your cooperation to ensure everyone’s safety. Below, you will find some new information about how the ski area will be organized. Please make sure to stay informed about the current regulations concerning travel between the different regions in Italy. We hope that you are still able to enjoy our mountains with serenity and an attitude that can adapt to current circumstances.

We recognize that the current situation and the new protocols for opening the ski resort have substantially changed the joy of skiing.

All general health rules and regulations are still valid. Specifically, it is prohibited to enter a cable car or gondola with a temperature higher than 37.5° and you must stay at least 1 meter apart from each other, wash your hands, and always wear a surgical mask. You must take off your mask only when skiing.

Clients are strictly required to line up for the cable car or chair lift in an orderly manner, and stay at least one meter apart in the queue (use your ski pole to measure the distance). During boarding the cable car, gondola, or chair lift, during transit, and when disembarking, please wear your mask to protect everyone. Chairlifts will travel at full capacity, while cable cars and gondolas will be at 50% capacity.

Many paths and access routes are also changed. Specifically, the Dolonne cable car terminal’s elevators and pedestrian tunnel are closed, while the internal stairs are reserved for passengers who have parked in the multi-storey parking lot. To reach the Dolonne cable car terminal from the open-air parking lot, you may use the external stairs and the side road only on foot.

The Courmayeur cable car will close at 5 pm like all other cable cars.

The main new measure concerning the ski resort is a restricted access to the ski area, which has resulted in changes to pass purchase. Online sales for season ski passes and teleskipasses have been enhanced with a booking system. The system was only developed recently, and is being used for the first time, and some fine-tuning may still be needed. We apologize, in advance, for any inconvenience.

Use the Courmayeur Mont Blanc App (APPLE STORE - PLAYSTORE) or the www.courmayeur-montblanc.com website for online purchase and booking.

However, we want to remind you that we may, at any time, be forced to reduce the number of operating cable cars and chairlifts and/or the number of people who can ski, or even close the ski area completely, depending on the pandemic and change in regulations.

Season Ski Pass:

• Buy your season ski pass online. You can collect it at the ticket window between 8am to 5pm. When purchasing, in the field "shipping address," specify the location (Dolonne, Courmayeur or Val Veny) at which you will collect your pass. Season ski passes NOT purchased online can only be purchased after 2pm at a ticket window.

• Clients are required to book, in advance, the ski day(s) that they wish to ski. Online booking can be made at any time until permitted capacity of the area is reached. Bookings are limited to 3 out of the next 7 days. Once a ski day has been used, another day can be booked. A booking can be changed or cancelled at any time prior to use. The company reserves the right to discourage improper use of the booking system.

• The 2019-20 season ski pass rate will be automatically entered into the online shopping cart for payment.

• In the event that we are forced by the authorities to close the area early, we will refund the paid amount, net of days used, calculated on the basis of the daily rate.

Teleskipass:

• Clients are required to book, in advance, the ski day(s) that they wish to ski. Online booking can be made at any time until permitted capacity of the area is reached. Bookings are limited to 3 out of the next 7 days. Once a ski day has been used, another day can be booked. A booking can be changed or cancelled at any time prior to use. The company reserves the right to discourage improper use of the booking system.

• All passes will be charged at the 1-day ski pass rate. The 3- and 4- hour rates do not apply to the teleskipass. Starting from the opening date, teleskipasses NOT purchased online can only be purchased after 2pm at a ticket window.

1-day and Multiple Day Ski Passes:

• If you already hold a keycard (from Courmayeur or another resort), you can purchase your ski pass in advance by typing in the 23-digit identification number printed on your card, thus, securing your place. The purchase also acts as a reservation and you will have direct access to the lifts (cable cars and chair lifts). The 3- and 4-hour tickets can only be purchased for the current day after 12 noon onwards.

• If you do not hold any keycard, you can buy your ticket online to secure your place and collect it at one of the ticket windows. You will be charged 2€ for the keycard at the ticket window.
