Trekking and Via Ferrata of Mont Chétif

| Accompanied by an Alpine Guide, using the Val Veny cable car, we will ascend to Pré de Pascal (bar/services). From “Pré,” we walk along an easy path for about ten minutes until reaching a section equipped with rungs and steel cables (duration: 30 minutes). At the end of this via ferrata section, we continue on a path for another 15 minutes until reaching another equipped downhill section (15 minutes). The route continues on a trail that is occasionally slightly exposed until rejoining the normal route and reaching the summit of Mont Chétif and the statue of the Madonna. The unique and incomparable view of the entire Mont Blanc group will allow us to embrace the entire massif with a single glance, from Col de la Seigne, the French border, to Col Ferret, the Swiss border. The return follows the classic normal route back to Pré de Pascal. |
| Meeting point: 9:30 AM at the departure of the Val Veny cable car Return: 4:00 PM Level: Experienced hikers (EE) Equipment: Mountain boots and suitable clothing (windbreaker, hat, and sunglasses). The use of trekking poles, preferably telescopic, is recommended. Participants must bring a packed lunch. Helmet and harness will be provided free of charge by our organization. |
